ABU DHABI, UAE – March 1, 2024: ACTIVE Al Maryah Island, recently named as the regions no.2 Best Sports & Recreation Facility, is the proud home of the first Gaby Reca Padel Academy branch to open in Abu Dhabi. Led by the former No.1 and 5x World Champion padel player turned coach Gaby Reca, the academy will operate three outdoor and four indoor courts at the complex. Bookings are now open through Playtomic.

Rising to meet the swelling demand for padel in Abu Dhabi, the academy will provide proven coaching methods starting from children aged 4 through to adults. With more than a dozen players on the World Padel Tour under his system, Gaby’s mastery in talent development will guide budding talent in Abu Dhabi to reach their maximum potential in the sport.

Alongside group and private lessons for all ages, social groups, workshops, corporate events, and tournaments will ensure that the sport flourishes. Weekly social nights present an opportunity to meet like-minded players in a fun environment. Skill-based competitions will offer the chance to win valuable prizes, and clinics focused on a specific technique or tactic will hone players’ game.

Ladies padel in Abu Dhabi will get a boost on the covered courts which will be supported by a female coach on Al Maryah Island’s only private courts.

Padel sessions with Gaby Reca Padel Academy are offered alongside wide variety of sports and activities happening at ACTIVE Al Maryah Island. Covering more than 90,000 sqm, the property features professional-grade sport surfaces including natural and 2* FieldTurf football pitches, ATP certified tennis courts, and multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball and netball. It is home to the ACTIVE Dome, the region’s only full-sized indoor football pitch. Gaby Reca Padel Academy has arrived in Abu Dhabi thanks to an exclusive tie-up with Abu Dhabi Entertainment Company. Through the agreement, a number of new academies will be opening in the capital at properties managed by the company, such as Zayed Sports City, as well as partner facilities.
